Recently, Mark, the son of our resident David, shared a reflection following his father’s passing that moved us all deeply. Regarding the support his family received, he wrote:

“I find myself questioning the extent of the care my whole family and I have received… simply overwhelmed by the love, support, attention to detail, lavish servant heartedness, warmth and affection we have consistently received during this extraordinarily difficult time.”

Mark described the bond between our team and his family as “simply humbling,” noting the profound comfort of knowing his father was surrounded by people who truly cared.

“I will never forget the shining example you have all provided of what it means to go above and beyond in care and service, not just in an aged care context, but in ANY context.”

That commitment to the community doesn't stop at our front door. Roger, a local advocate in dementia support, has seen the impact of our team’s reach first-hand. Even before our doors officially opened, Roger noticed our team’s dedication to local initiatives, describing the team as “very community-oriented.”

He emphasised the value of outreach services like memory cafés and day care, which provide carers with a vital chance to recharge. Recounting his own experience, Roger noted:

“We’ve done the Day Care service, and I felt reassured knowing she was in safe hands.”
